Join Christopher Paolini on Tour Through the UK! Tour Dates, Stops, and More!

In July we announced that Christopher Paolini would be making his way to the United Kingdom for a pre-Inheritance book release tour to promote the Inheritance Cycle. Thanks to our friends at Random House UK, we now have a complete listing of Christopher’s tour stops, locations, dates, and times. These stops include two book store events and two convention/festival events. Several events require tickets, however tickets appear to be rather cheap. Continue reading for a full list of stops!

Wednesday 28th September

Time: 18.00-20.00
Forbidden Planet event
Christopher will be signing new editions of Eragon, Eldest and Brisingr

Thursday 29th September

Time: 18.30
Waterstones’ Deansgate event
Christopher will be participating in an event for ticketed attendees. Christopher will participate in a signing event for non-ticketed attendees following the ticketed event. Tickets are £5 and can be purchased on Waterstones’ website.

Friday 30th September

Time: 17.30-18.15
Event at Bath Children’s Book Festival
Christopher will be participating in a ticketed event at the Bath Children’s Book Festival. Christopher’s event will be followed by a book signing. Event tickets cost £5.

Saturday 1st October

Time: 11.00 – Noon
Headline event at Brighton’s

Christopher will headline Brighton’s Fantasy Con at the Royal Albion Hotel. Christopher’s event will include an on-stage interview with Stephen Hunt from SFCrowsnest and will be followed by an audience Q&A. **Please remember that this tour is taking place prior to the release of Inheritance (Book 4) and that Christopher will not be signing copies of the final novel until the book hits store shelves on November 8th.

Please be sure to direct all tour questions (tickets and information) to the operator of each event, listed above. The staff of Shur’tugal will be unable to answer questions as we are simply conveying his tour information.

This is hard to answer. The few ive been to were for book releases so we could only get one copy of the newest books signed. Cause there were thousands of people there to meet him. since what you would go to is diffrent i dont know how it would work. I would call ahead to where he is going to be and ask what the limits are for the siging

There seems to be a mistake in this page; he isn’t touring the UK, he’s touring England. Funny how those two seem to get mixed up (as a Scot it feels pretty much like the equivalent of being told someone is touring all of the US only to find they’re giving you’re state a miss, but I digress). I can only hope he’ll visit the rest of the country after Inheritance is released *crosses fingers for Glasgow*

More interestingly, only really the south of England. Which says a lot. *cough North/South divide cough*. But then again, who wants to get caught up in a semantics debate, eh?

Honestly though, I’m fed up of Americans referring to the UK as ‘England’. That’s far more insulting than referring to England as the UK. The latter is more correct than the former. At least by referring to the country as the UK, you’re not discluding Scotland from the equation altogether.

Oh, and my mother is from Glasgow too (father is from Stafford, but eh). Funny how its a small world on the internet.
