Battle of Farthen Dur

The Battle of Farthen Dur is an event that takes place in Eragon.

Deep within the Beor Mountains lays the dwarvish city of Tronjheim. Tronjheim houses most of the Dwarvish population and the Varden. Eragon, Saphira and Murtagh bring Arya there so she can be healed.

Shortly after Arya heals, the Urgals led by the Shade Durza attack the ancient city. Eragon and the Varden win after Durza is slain by Eragon and the Urgals are released from Durza's magic. The dwarves and the Varden suffered terrible losses and Eragon recieved a scar on his back, but Tronjheim is saved.

In the aftermath Ajihad, leader of the Varden is killed by a group of Urgals (controlled by the Twins). Murtagh is kidnapped by the Twins, who take him to Uru'baen.
