The main cathedral in Dras-Lonas in the book is reputed to be enameled in gold and very tall. The inhabitants consider it sinful to criticize the religion or build anything taller then rock formation known as "Helgrind." The followers constantly are debating on which tower of Helgrind is taller, an whether all four or only three of the towers deserve worship. The priests usually are missing limbs or arms because they think that the body anchors the spirit to the physical world. The religion also sacrifices people, animals, and the drinking of blood. Helgrind acts as the altar.
