Eragon the First

Eragon the First was an Elf who was alive during the time period when elves first traveled to Alagaesia. He became the first Dragon Rider after finding an abandoned dragon egg in the forest. His discovery of the white dragon egg ultimately led to the creation of the Dragon Riders and their legacy therefore leading to the end of the dragon war. His dragon's name was Bid'Daum . The first Eragon also helps create the spell that binds elves to the dragons which gave the immortality to elves and brought "civilization" to the dragons.
