Garrow is the brother of Selena, Eragon and Murtagh's mother. He was the husband of the deceased Marian. With her he had Roran.

Physical Description
Garrow is very skinny, with straggly gray hair and hungry eyes.
Garrow and his family have often struggled to survive, but Garrow has always been headstrong, resiliant and, most of all, proud. He claims that he : "Does not accept charity".

Eragon
Garrow is killed by the Ra'zac in Eragon. Eragon is enraged by this, and seeks to avenge his uncle's death because he was the closest thing he had to a father.

Garrow's death weighs heavily on Roran's heart. Roran blames Eragon for his death.
