The Golden Age was the time of prosperity and security from the establishment of the Dragon Riders until Galbatorix's self-proclamation of being the supreme ruler of Alagaesia. This Golden Age was given its name because of the peace between the separate races of Alagaësia. This age is referenced to in the Eldest Limited Edition in the "Brief History of Alagaësia."
