Naegling is Oromis' sword. It is gold like the scales of his dragon, Glaedr, and was made by the elven smith, Rhunön. Rhunön made all of the dragon riders' swords until the fall off the riders. After the fall, she made an oath in the Ancient Language never to make swords for riders again because of the damage that was caused by her swords.
