Seithr Oil is an oil that is taken from the leaves of a Seithr plant. The Seithr plant is named after a word in the Ancient Language: "seithr" which means: witch. The plant only grows on a small island in the northern seas of Alagaesia, and its rarity makes it expensive. Seithr Oil is often used to preserve pearls by only the richest of jewelers; but when an incantation is spoken over it, along with a blood sacrifice, it becomes a deadly acid. The caustic acid eats away flesh, but is harmless to anything, and everything else. Because of this unique trait, this oil is often used by assassins. Cities, such as Teirm, along the coasts of Alagaesia keep records of its transmission. Seithr oil is popularly used by the Empire, especially the Ra'zac. It is the same oil they used to murder Garrow leaving painful wounds which are slow to heal.
