Also, I disagree with the "Pronunciation". It is pronounced how Paolini said it is, because it was him that said it. If he invents words, its up to him how they should be pronounced (he even wrote it in the back of his books! How much easier does it get?) --Martin the third 17:32, 27 November 2006 (EST)

I don't know anything about umlauts/dipthongs but it just seems like an accent-misuse by Paolini. Maybe something like "Technically Alagaesia is pronounced blah-blah-blah but Paolini pronounces is blah-blah-blah" would be a compromise. The argument that the author of the article wrote made sense to me, but I agree with what you said about making up words.--Spyderchan 13:54, 29 November 2006 (EST)

And everything I've read so far points to "aë" being pronounced the way it says it is. There isn't an umlauted e in German, so applying German rules to it seems absurd. I don't have anything definate yet, though, so I won't change it yet. --Martin the third 17:15, 29 November 2006 (EST)
