Im sorry about the stupid thing. For the most part i use it lightly just to imphisise a point. Its nothing personal unless someone makes me mad and i do have a short temper. im adicted to the books and so some theories get me mad. I was under the impression we were nice mods... :(... and as a note, we dont' want you all to agree with each other (thought that would be nice), but this is supposed to be more of an encyclopedia that a forum. I have a few books, all typed up on my computer, but my mom and I, we wrote a fictional-style book, but about the egyptian gods, the "Reign of the Gods" as it was called, and we added one god. We made it so that some of the gods destroy Egypt, the plots behind how some of them Murdered the pharaohs. My mom has an obbsesion with Egyptotlogy, and she provided that info, while I weaved the story. Right now, it's still in editing. We also ant to create a non0fictional book about how modern life would be changed if that story was true. I like the idea. --Kystra

Getting a book started is always the hardest part. So, I just wanna get soem stuff down. Is it in modern times? how old is he? Where does it take place? What kind of magic can he do?--Kystra

the setting is more midevil and hes around 16. its fantisy and in a differen place much like eragon. um really i havent developed it that far at first he really doesnt know about the powers they just happen. but its not like harry potter where its vocal but its all mental. hes decent at daggar throwing and telipithy.--Eragon man 20:25, 21 March 2007 (GMT-5)

And I just thought of something. The wizards, are they being hunted down, or they just dying with age? If they are being exterminated, write about the leader of the hunters. Kind of like a group of Wizard-slayers. Ish.--Kystra

Well at the start he lives with his family but runs away to discover is new found ability. the creatures are from my mind and common. All I can say to write the first chapter, write just random stuff, try like, three different approachs, find the one you like best, and just fiddle with little bits of it. I don't want to think how many times I edit the first Chapter of my Egyptology story.--Kystra

Ok i have two differnt angles that ive come up with on my book, one is set at a carnival or festival where were introduced to alec and his tallents. The other is where He wakes up from a premonition, the prologue.--Eragon man 12:13, 13 April 2007 (PDT)

I personaly think that he should wake up from the premonitions, and then go to the carnival. But what I would do, is have his mom come in and baby him. Just kind of build up some more reason besides 'follow his newfound powers' to run away from home.--Kystra

hey, on your book list, you should add Jumper(i've read) and Reflex(i'm reading) by Steven Gould and Black(i've read), Red(i'm reading), and White(yet to read) by Ted DeKker. They're pretty good books. They're all in like the Sci-fi/fantsy genre.-ES

Would someone explain what an Elemental is?--Kystra

Alright an elemental is someone that has control over the elements around them, most of the time its just one, but there are those few that can control all four of them and those are the true elementals.
